Mary Christmas
“Mary Christmas” is inspired by the drag-queens I know. She won first place at the Glendale Quilt Show, 2001.
“Mary” is an all-cloth figure, with cotton fabric used for the body. Her green hair is made of mohair, topped by a golden star. Her body is cotton, completely embroidered with beads, sequins, and gems. “Mary's” full “tree” skirt is many layers of green net and lace, under a hooped foundation. She stands 25 in. tall.
