Masquerade
“Masquerade” is a modern high-fashion model wearing a haute-couture evening gown and holding a mask, suitable for a gala masquerade ball. I designed her for the “Hoffman Fabric Challenge 2002”, and won second place. The challenge fabric is the multi-colored fabric in her beaded and sequin bodice, the flair in the back, the beaded mask, and various appliqués on the dress.
She is an all-cloth doll, standing 23 in. tall. The body is made of doesuede. The dress is made of satin, silk, and chiffon. Her eyes are hand painted. She wears hand-made jewelry, and has peacock and ostrich feathers in her hair and on the mask.
