CanCan Dancer
“Can-Can Dancer” was made in the fashion of the late 1890's. She was designed for a materials exchange challenge sponsored by my doll club. “Can-Can” won second place in the “Dimensions in Doll making” show in San Diego, 2002.
She is a cloth doll, over a wire armature structure. She has painted eyes and mohair for hair. Her dress is of cotton, silk, and satin. Her petticoat has 6 rows of chiffon ruffles, and shows off her yellow bloomers. She wears black, purple and pink lace up boots over purple stockings. “Can-Can Dancer” stands 18 in. tall, and comes with a removable stand.
