Black Beaded Vessel:
This beaded vessel is actually two vessels in one. First the “inside” of the vessel is made. Then the “outside” of the vessel is beaded over the “inside”.
This is a form of “off-loom” beadwork, where the beads are strung and locked together with only thread, being worked in your hands. This pattern is called the “brick-stitch”.
I used “fire” colored beads and gems for the inside, shading from gold to red. The outside is all done in black. My inspiration is the geode rock, which is plain on the outside, and hold beautiful crystals on the inside.
