Pamela Armas (aka Gypsy Pamela) is the owner of "Treasures of the Gypsy", which sells exotic fabrics, trims, beads, ribbon, and little bits of everything, (mostly imported from India and other parts of Eastern Europe). She & husband Ken, have a large vendor booth and travel to all the major sewing & quilting conventions across the country. (Pamela does NOT have a store.)

Every year, Pamela (along with Alexander Henry Fabrics) hosts a DOLL CHALLENGE at the Houston Quilt Festival (in Texas) at the end of October. Prizes include gift certificates for Treasures of the Gypsy and cash awards from Alexander Henry.

The challenge is to make a doll using Pamela's fabrics & trims.

To enter the challenge, send Pamela a check for $25. She sends you an envelope of her "treasures"-- a few pieces of fabrics and trims. Pamela will send you all the details of the challenge.

The theme for 2020 is "ALL THAT JAZZ".

Dolls are due by mid- September, and you will have to ship them to Texas. Your doll can be part of the theme, or not. You may use any medium you like - cloth, clay, or mixed media. There is no size requirement. The only requirement is that you use as much of the Gypsy's Treasures as you can on your doll. (You can even buy MORE and add it to the doll, as well!!)

Make $25 check payable to: PAMELA ARMAS.
Send it to: Pamela Armas, PO Box 748, Mountainair, NM 87036
